Ms. Barclay's Classroom Notes
Miss Barclay's February Music News
During the month of February, music students are learning African American spirituals in celebration of Black History Month. They are also learning songs for Valentine's Day.
Miss Barclay's third and fourth grade classes are learning and reviewing how to read notes. This will help prepare them for the recorder, which we will begin studying in March. Please be sure your child has turned in their order form and $5!
The Kindergarteners have been working hard to learn about beat and rhythm. They can perform both of these important music elements on classroom instruments.
We are finishing off the month with some drumming and Groovy Music! The third and fourth graders are working to create their own compositions. Ask the kindergarteners about bass and tone sounds on the tubano drums.
